Whats the Difference Between a
Planned Superdraw and an Organic Jackpot?
Planned Superdraw
Next one: Friday, 26 September 2025
Organised by the EuroMillions operator, a planned Superdraw instantly boosts the jackpot to a set amount, often £110m, regardless of what it was before.
Funded by the Booster Fund, this event happens 3-4 times a year, and is confirmed in advance. Verified via official draw history
Organic Super Jackpot
Example: The £131m up for grabs this
Tuesday, 29 July 2025
Built through consecutive rollovers from regular draws, it’s not pre- announced but just as exciting.
These happen when no one wins the jackpot over several consecutive draws. The pot rolls over and builds naturally.
In 2025, EuroMillions experienced one of its longest-ever rollover sequences, reaching 21 draws before a jackpot win. Allwyn stated: “the roll series lasted over ten weeks it was the second‑longest roll series in EuroMillions history” It was finally won by a lucky player in Ireland. Source, Allwyn
What Happens When the Jackpot Hits £250M?
When the EuroMillions jackpot reaches its cap of £250M:
The top prize freezes at £250M for four draws.
If still not won, the fifth draw becomes a Must Be Won event.
In a Must Be Won draw, if no one hits all 5 numbers + 2 Lucky Stars, the jackpot rolls down to the next prize tier with winners (e.g. 5 + 1).
This format guarantees the jackpot is eventually claimed sometimes by players just one Lucky Star short.

Tips for Playing
There’s no way to beat the system, but you can optimise your chances of winning something — especially by playing in groups or entering during rollovers.
✅ Play in a syndicate to increase total number of lines
✅ Don’t avoid common or “unlucky” numbers — every number has equal chance
✅ Use Lucky Dip — 90% of recent UK winners did
✅ Buy tickets closer to the draw — sales often surge with last-minute entries
